Us: Le Immagini di Vetro Project

Immagini di Vetro Project was born in 2007, by an idea of Giulia Spugnoli and Mario Stagi, as research about performing with different semantic forms, to show the creative and communicative experience in the art process. Words, sings, vision, sound, light, symbols, materials and colours in a new compositive logic.
The instruments that we use for the research are a computer with a music software connected to a sound system, and an overheadprojector on which operate with glass colours , water, objects and various materials, a big white cloth on which we project. The picture draw , on the overheadprojector, has his own perceptive and cognitive space different from the perceptive space of music, that place on top or came with , and of another semantic order are words and sentences. All this different parts became composite aesthetic elements that create a unity, a new understanding combination. Whit this basic elements we elaborate a performance that leave open space to the creative inspiration. Tune on basic semantic knots, we follow a sequence made by keywords or sentences to which music and images refer to. With improvisation the picture flows in time like the music do and together they exist during the live exhibition. The Immagini di Vetro research try to reveal the communicative attraction and effect of mass media technology, using more primitive and symbolic images, more material and abstract at the same time, more free and open, like art allow. The performance is total for its dimensions in the space and not for its commercial branding. It open also the art work to the audience perceptive estrangements effect.
